Important Oceanside Ice Arena information

EMERGENCY EXIT DOORS are to be kept closed at all times (except in the event of an emergency). Only the front doors are to be used to enter and exit the arena. The front doors utilize an airlock design that prevents hot air from entering the arena. When emergency exit doors are opened the building heats up which results in poor quality ice. DO NOT use any door other than the front door to enter or exit the arena.
The west end of the arena is a RESTRICTED AREA. Signs designating it as such are posted on the north and south gates to the west end of the arena. Only authorized personnel are allowed to pass through these gates. Authorized personnel include arena employees, authorized DYHA coaches, referees, and authorized service technicians. If you are not authorized DO NOT go past the gates for any reason.
During an ICE RESURFACING all players and coaches must be off the ice unless the driver asks for help with moving the goals. Pucks are NEVER allowed on the ice during ice resurfacing unless they are safely enclosed in or on the goals. Drivers are instructed to end an ice resurfacing in the event of a player or puck entering the ice surface. Players are not allowed to enter the ice surface until the Zamboni gates are fully closed.
The above policies will be enforced. Please adhere to them. If you have any questions regarding the policies contact Adam Mims.
