Adult Hockey Skills
Every Tuesday from 9:40 PM - 11:30 PM at Oceanside Ice Arena
Runs year-round, jump in anytime and be ready to rock
Cost is $20 per session or purchase 10-session punch card for $150
Arrive early- Class is limited to the first 40 players and 6 goalies. No reservations or call-ins allowed
We need goalies! We pay $10 to the first 4 goalies at each session. Goalies must stay for entire session to qualify.
Program Objectives:
- Teach the fundamentals of hockey to athletes with little or no hockey/ skating experience
- Improve the skills of novice and intermediate players
- Challenge and encourage each player with a positive, dynamic session each week
- Provide a fun and structured environment for enjoying the great sport of hockey
Session Format:
- Warmup - 10 min
- Powerskating - 10 min
- Stickhandling - 10 min
- Passing - 10 min
- Shooting - 10 min
- Small area games/ Cross-ice 3 on 3 - 20 min
- Scrimmage - 30 min
- 1 hour, 45 min of total ice time!
Other:
- Summit Hockey Shop is open late on Tuesdays until 9:30 pm so come on in and get your skates sharpened
- Class is co-ed - typically 4-6 women attend each week
